A Mediterranean Villa in the Heart of Pokhara
Do you love sunny days and fresh air? We do. We designed Vagabond Guest House so that every room gets lots of sunshine, and great views. It's probably the sunniest hotel in Pokhara! (Yes, if you want to sleep in, just draw the shades.)
Our rooms are simple, large and clean. Every room has a private bath, big windows, and wood floors, plus our famous wrapping balcony and access to our private courtyard garden. We keep our costs and prices low by not offering private TVs or phones. However, you are welcome to consider our friendly lobby your "living room" with cable TV, Internet PC, fridge, phone (land line). We also have a small kitchen and will fix you tea and coffee whenever you desire.
Prices for rooms range from US$15-20 depending on length of stay. Long-term guests can leave here even more cheaply at just $10 a day, with weekly room cleaning included.
Planning an Annapurna Trek? Pokhara Makes a Great Base Camp
Pokhara, a city of 200,000, is a great place to start or finish your Annapurna mountain trek. Some of our guests come for a day or two to rest after their trek. Others - including several professional writers - have come to Vagabond Guest House for several weeks and even months, treating us as their home away from home.
There are more than two dozen restaurants, bookshops, music stores, and Tibetan, Indian, and Nepalese craft shops in our immediate neighborhood. We are down a little side street though, so we are very tranquil although in the center of it all.
And of course, everywhere you are, there the mountains are too! Every room has a mountain view, plus you can come up to our rooftop to watch the sunset.
